1 km of 2 m (ID) concrete pressure pipe installed in a drilled and blasted trench. Drill a 12 m deep, 4.3 diam. Hole in rock and install precast riser section. Install 70+ ton precast concrete intake structures.
All blasting activities were performed inside an air bubbling curtain in order provide underwater blast protection and to reduce the impact on aquatic life.

East Pier Repairs
The rehabilitation of the east wharf was accomplished by installation of a sheet pile wall around the existing timber crib wharf, demolition and reconstruction of a 300mm reinforced concrete deck.
Miscellaneous appurtenances like: guardrail, ladders, bollards and tire fenders were installed to improve the functionality of the wharf.

Sterling Marine Fuel Site Dock Upgrade

DCCL had the opportunity to perform on two contracts for this project.
The first contract consisted of the supply and installation of 320 metres of Steel Sheet Pile Wall along the Detroit River.
The second contract was to supply and install 32 - 36” diameter and 8 - 20” diameter pipe piles for proposed dolphins and a new fuel dock. All pipe piles were installed in the Detroit River approximately 40-100 feet off the shoreline.
